Zuri training in conjunction with ingressive 4 good recently launched a free tech training program. The aim of this program is to provide tech novice with the opportunity to learn skills in programming and design. I jumped on the opportunity and I am 1 week old in the program yippee.

My experience so far has been both positive and negative. I start with the negative, so as part of your startup pack you are given access to the training’s slack community. Some participates made the first few days a little chaotic on the slack channels. The organisers planned for participants to play some games and win prizes, but due to the chaotic behaviour of some of the participants, the games were cancelled twice. This whole fiasco dampened my joy a little and I became a little worried about what I could learn in this environment.

Now to the positive stuff, my hope and joy went up again when I attended the live orientation session on Youtube. The sessions were informative and straight to the point which says a lot about the instructors and organisers, which removed my doubts relatively. Also, in the past few days, I have networked with some really interesting minds.

I am super excited to start the training session in the next couple of days. I can hardly wait to see what the instructors and organisers have in store for us. I am also hopeful that my experience with this program would be an exciting one.
